The partial Solar Eclipse of July 1, 2011 strikes the 4th house cusp @ 9* Cancer 12' squaring natal Sun in the 6th house, a warning of danger to farmland, the crops that grow, and eventual lack of harvest.  Not only is France in jeopardy of food shortages, but the entire European Union as well, since France is the biggest farm producer for the EU.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy will certainly get noticed under this square; he obviously has crucial decisions to make and may feel unequipped to handle them.  At present he is pushing a new agricultural model, while his Agriculture Minister Bruno Le Maire at the G-20 meeting suggests limits on export bans and international regulation...which equates to allowing the borders of other countries to be controlled.  That ought to go over big.

Meanwhile, in the financial area, transiting Jupiter opposing natal Neptune (as I type) cautions against speculation and investments with other countries...which may mean the outstanding debt held by France - the country most exposed to Greek debt - is about to poke them in the eye.

In early July transiting Jupiter opposes natal Jupiter = poor judgment in financial relationships with foreigners will test the mettle of the people.
