Scorpio Rises, zodiacal sign ruling debt, co-ruler Mars in the 8th house of debt in dualistic Gemini, signifying that something looms beyond surface appearances. Co-ruler retrograde Pluto in the 2nd house of bankers is trine Jupiter in wealth-related Taurus...the bankers are working on a plan to further enrich themselves at the expense of Americans via lack of employment (Jupiter in 6th house). Pluto square 5th house Uranus cautions stock market investors against sudden upheaval, as sweeping changes are in the cards.
The Midheaven (MC) is conjoined Fixed Star Regulus: Heart of the Lion, Lawgiver...its meaning to regulate, adjust by rule. Astrologer Bernadette Brady states that it symbolizes one who can "gain great success by facing a particular nemesis." Snuggled right up to that MC, however, is Mercury in the 10th house (administration) approaching its retrograde station, opposing an already retrograde Neptune ...and so Americans are left with an executive branch wherein confusion reigns supreme. Very telling is the placement of the New Moon in the 9th house, the 12th house of the administration, suggesting secrets that involve congress, as the Leo New Moon forms a sextile to 11th house Saturn. Always take advantage of an opportunity, eh? Is congress about to become obsolete by the formation of a "Super Congress?"
Debt ceiling negotiators are attempting to create a new legislative body - a Super Congress - that would place more power in the hands of the beltway power players that would, in effect, limit the power of the average congressperson. And here is where the diversion comes in mentioned in my previous essay, here is where the duality shown in this New Moon chart manifests...the creation of an unconstitutional legislative body for the purpose of stripping the public of present benefits, otherwise known as socking it to the elderly, while simultaneously socking it to the taxpayers...all without accountability...what a coup!
The 20th degree of Scorpio on the Ascendant proposes that the public remain self-possessed no matter what bizarre adventures life throws their way, as a new reality is upon us.

Naomi Klein wrote the book Shock Awareness..an event/change happens and TPTB via legislation (Patriot Act) get the result they have wanted (for a long time)..your post reflects her book perfectly
Parts of Congress have wanted to get rid of SS and Medicare for Years..many have been in Congress way over 20 years! However they needed the opportunity! for their change.

otb..I appreciate your kind words. There is no astrological way in my possession at this time to determine the status of PM shares as each company has its own incorporation or initial trade date. I shall endeavor to attempt to ascertain the "birth" of GDM, GDX, HUI and XAU. If successful, I'll post my findings.
