The ancient art/science of astrology is a tool with which people of Earth can improve the conditions of their lives. One branch - Mundane Astrology - is the science of the influence of the heavenly bodies as they affect the world - whether it be nations, cities, communities or any organization constituting an entity that functions under a common governing authority.
